another key somewhere along the way on our trip this weekend... I don't even remember which one

 onward

it was just a small dock where fishing boats would come in... there were tons of pelicans around and they would let you get up nice and close to them before flying off. I would have like to capture the flying pelican a little closer inside the frame, but I hesitated a bit before pressing the shutter... oh well, at least he's there :)

AH! Pelicans. I am surprised it was so easy to get to them. I thought that if we got close, they were just going to fly away. I am glad I was wrong, they made up for a lot of interesting shots. I love this one a lot babe, I mean you have three awesome elements; the pelican, the nice water which looks as lovely in the shot as it did in real life, and the bird flying away. All of these blend together perfectly to give you this awesome shot. That bird flying away gives sooo much to this shot :D

Another great shot babe. I love it

I am not the biggest fan of wildlife shots, but this is just amazing! What a great eye you have. I love how you chose not to center the pelican in the foreground. The second one flying away in the background is wonderful as well. You may have wanted to capture it a little closer inside the frame, but it certainly doesn't detract from this great image in any way.

This ones a keeper. :+fav:

This piece is stunning. The b&w does wonders to this pic. It makes it look so professional.

Great piece, love the capture.

The lighting is stunning, I love the slight water ripples and the contrast between the light water/sky and the dark shades of the pelican.
